The Forest path of Mount Paozu was honestly rather relaxing all things considered, taking the moment of quiet embrace with the bountiful nature that this particular part of the region offered for the Saiyan. Throughout his time on the planet, he has managed to achieve much and explore parts of the planet that he never even remotely expected at all, and that’s not even counting the interactions with the people in the world. From the vast Metropolis Cities to the simple village, from the weakest of civilians to the strongest fighters, Callion had seen them all and interacted with each person so far, and even to top it off he even managed to meet, at long last, another Saiyan by the name of Zerori – A female Saiyan at that! From offering to train Ayu, to even taking up a Bio-Android as a student, this particular Saiyan Monk had live a life on Earth that was well and truly full, though unaware of the more… Breaking news, as one could put it, to what had exactly been going on across the globe as of late. More specifically what had just occurred in West City, where the terrible Changeling under the name of Zero had his goal desire in taking over that metropolis for the possible glory of the PTO, or even for himself in that matter.
Then there was the first, true incident that occurred on the planet Earth that the Saiyan Monk had still be made completely unaware of, and that was the attack on Orange City itself! It appeared that Callion seemed to develop a knack in keeping aware from the national incidents as of late, using the opportunity to better himself and grow stronger as of late, MUCH stronger. This precious moments of devoting towards the art of training had even granted the Saiyan the honour and pleasure to become a student under none other than Master Roshi himself; the fabled Turtle Hermit who trained the likes of Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien in their many adventures across the planet who had become legends in their own right across the years, though the fact remains to whether or not the likes of him could reach that level had yet to be seen. After all, there was always time to train, and learn the art of combat from an earthling’s perspective combat to the physical training that Callion was brought up when he was sent to the Planet Bhupal to be away from the Coup that occurred on planet Vegeta.
It was that aspect of having first met another Saiyan by the likes of Zeori that made him ponder more about his fellow kind of the Saiyan race. Just how many were there on this planet? Was the Saiyan Race preparing to establish a colony on Earth only then to wipe out the population off from the face of the planet to welcome the Saiyans? Hope not, otherwise all that good food and music may very well just disappear, and where exactly would Callion get his large bowl of Supreme Ramen whilst listening to some 1980’s style of Earthling music on the radio? Such things as these need to be taken into consideration of course, and these things were best left to be protected and ensure that nothing like this would harm the planet nor it’s people from the forces that would strive to do such a thing. Which is surprisingly why since the two shocking events from Orange City and West City that the Saiyan monk had not joined in, and for the simple reason is: It was not even remotely his business.
There were things in life that an individual should participate and get involved with, and there were also parts where one should not get tangled in: Those two key events in the Planet Earth’s new history were not those events that the Saiyan Monk had any part in being bookmarked into history, for sadly enough, the inhabitants of the Earth pretty much had nothing to do with him. Why? He was neutral at heart; the penultimate form of balance within himself and those around him. If he were to get enrolled into such a mess, how many people were going to suffer and lose their lives? If Not then the losses, while bad, would hopefully remain minimal, and both sites were properties of the USD, and no doubt they’ll get involved with this matter one way or another, even if they’d had to possibly declare war on the planet and PTO combined… Hopefully, such a scenario would never happen in the foreseeable future, though considering the participants that made their mark and sheer destruction that took place, only time could honestly tell the fate between the Earth, the USD, and those that were involved with the loss of bases from two separate cities.
No. For Callion, it was the simple life – a life devoted to training and getting stronger as a result. After making his way towards a remote part of the Mount Paozu that had a lovely view of the crystal-clear lake under the cover of the Mountain range and the forest, the Saiyan Monk slowly unpacked the case that he was carrying with his tail, and brought forth a most curious weapon of all things; the Three Section Staff; an extreme form of a versatile weapon and one of the more advanced weapons in the world of martial arts. This weapon, by itself can be fully utilised under the right hands, in all fighting ranges. Whether it was for long range for more striking and whipping attack, to middle range to be actually used as a form of a flail or even a two-section staff form of fighting, or even short range that has the similar art of Escrima stick fighting. It was a weapon that seemingly had limitless potential in how one would use a weapon for combat and self-defence combined, and the Saiyan’s body that flowed like water, began to train and focus in using such a formidable weapon.
His body move with grace, and speed, but also firm with strength. Picking up the pace, with the Three Section Staff making wood snapping noises that echoed across the quiet forest, the swooshing and whizzing sounds of the staff handles themselves were slashing the very air itself with how the Saiyan was able to morph and change into each fighting range and technique when he was on his own, and as his trained his ears and senses picked up…
Something… Or someone… Was approaching the area, and he could feel the ki of someone very strong making their way.

Quash flying in the air over the area, intending on training in Mount Paozu yet again as he was working on bringing his body back up to full strength. His wounds weren't quite healed yet, so his torn clothes, bandages, cuts, and bruises were still very much present on his body. He can thank Athren for that. He was still trying to wrap his head around why a saiyan would do something so reckless, especially to his own kind, but the truth was he didn't know him well enough to really know yet. However, Quash was very much planning on finding out.
This was honestly his favorite place to be on Earth so far. There were free sparring partners everywhere, the savage and brutal nature of the land reminded him of home, and it was away from Earthling civilization. The last part was a good thing too, because he was still on the run. He didn't know how long this was going to last, but he would hope that he'd find a way to get out of this situation soon. After all, he couldn't run forever. At some point things were going to catch up to him, and he was going to have to be ready for anything.
An energy nearby, accompanied with sounds of something cracking in the air, piqued Quash's interest. Someone else was here? There was almost never anyone here! Who could it be? He decided to check it out, hoping it wasn't anything dangerous. Especially since this energy was...really big. Whoever this person was was more than capable of handling themselves in a fight. If he was being followed by Earth's forces, he'd much rather confront them head on anyway. Fleeing was a coward's game. He lowered himself downward towards the source, mentally preparing himself for another fight. Though, when he got close enough to see who it was, he realized he might just be worried over nothing after all.
He saw what appeared to be a Saiyan, seeing his tail, practicing with some kind of weapon. It looked really difficult to use, but also formidable in the right hands. As Quash further examined his clothing, he couldn't help but think he was definitely a Saiyan native to Earth. Anyone raised on Planet Vegeta wouldn't be wearing some strange get up like that. He couldn't help but wonder, is this guy the kind of person he was looking for to help him in his cause?
Quash landed on the ground near him, leaving enough space between the two so he wouldn't get caught in the crossfire of his fancy weapon shenanigans. He smiled as he greeted him, hoping that he would come off as an ally, not an enemy. He figured he'd ask about his weapon first.
"Hey! Sorry to disturb you, but I couldn't help but notice you practicing uhh... that. What is that anyway?"

As soon as Callion had heard Quash landed near his position, the Saiyan Monk soon stopped practicing with the Three Section Staff, slowly returning into an upright and relaxed pose after another successful training course with the advanced versatile weapon. As a gesture of good faith and welcome of the fellow Saiyan brother in arms, he offered a warm smile to Quash, giving a bow of his head as a form of respect to him along with listening to the question that the other Saiyan asked in regards to the weapon that he had in his arms. “Not at all. I always have time to talk to a fellow Saiyan, if anything this makes you the third Saiyan that I have come across throughout my time on this planet. The more the merrier.” Callion replied, letting out a light chuckle whilst he motioned both hands to slowly fold the Three Section staff together into a proper folded position where he was able to hold the weapon with just one hand. He was surprised that a Saiyan like him was curious in weapons, and felt it was even more surprising that his fellow kin were unaware to what this weapon was. Do Saiyans on Planet Vegeta have never heard of such a weapon?
“This here is what is known as a Three Section Staff.” Callion introduced as he started to slowly unfold the weapon, watching both ends droop on either side as he held the weapon in the middle as though it was a giant version of a nunchaku. “Otherwise known as the ‘Coiling Dragon Staff’, this weapon is an extremely versatile weapon, having the advantage of being able to attack your opponent from Short, mid and long-range at the same time or at the spur of the very moment. As such kinsman, the three-section staff is a very complex weapon. It is one of the top three weapons that is extremely difficult to train with, but at the same time, if you put the devotion and heart into training with this weapon, you will be almost unstoppable.” Callion explained the weapon with the benefits and also downsides to the weapon to those who were uninitiated to the Three-Sections Staff, “Don’t worry about making a mistake though. Trust me, the weapon itself will remind you if you mess up by bonking you on the head whilst you’re training.” He continued with a laugh, having to rub the side of his noggin that was a clear indication that even the likes of the Saiyan Monk would get a bonk now and again.
Callion lightly leaped back, away from Quash as he showed a demonstration to the weapon’s full capabilities before him. In an instant, the Saiyan monk began to motion the very flail like staff into a spinning blade above and either side of his head, to around the waist and immediately into a flail and even into a short-range hand to hand assistant combat in the manner of seconds right before his fellow Saiyan’s eyes. The very vibration and whooshing sounds coming from the staff itself can be heard, “What you have to keep in mind kinsman is that some of the techniques are similar to that of the staff, so spinning moves over the head and behind the back, such as helicopter spins and neck rolls, can be practised with a regular staff. Other weapon techniques the three-section staff makes use of are similar to that of a pair of batons, a simple short chain, a whip and the two-section staff. It is therefore, kinsman, very advantageous for the user to have some familiarity with these weapons.”
The Saiyan Monk slowed his movements before Quash, showing him the length of the weapons compared to his own, demonstrating just how long such a flail like staff was when compared to the body. “As you can see, this weapon acts as an extension of the user’s arms, the three sectional staff can strike, flail, block, choke, trap, disarm and whip, often with different sections of the staff acting at the same time. The chains or binding ropes of the staff are used to entangle an opponent and their weapons. While it has three ranges, the three-section staff is best used as a short-range weapon against long ranged weapons.” Callion then changed the topic to the more drawbacks of the staff itself, presenting it to the fellow Saiyan as he talked,
“However. If you are going to practice with this weapon, then you need to know about the drawbacks to the three-section staff. One significant weakness of chained weapons in general is a lack of control. At long and intermediate ranges, the strike of this weapon ends not upon impact but on recoil; even some of the best martial arts masters that I have seen must use valuable time regaining control of their weapon. Due to the length of the staff sections relative to the length of joining chains, the weapon suffers less from a lack of control than other more flexible chain weapons. In short range mode there are no control issues because sections one and three are firmly in hand and section two is unable to move independently. Training with the three-section staff is particularly difficult because it is a multi-mode complex weapon and is not recommended for beginners.”
The Saiyan then finished his demonstration of the weapon and slowly walked back to Quash, folding up the weapon as he did so before as he continued to hold the smile before his fellow kinsman, a desire of wanting to know what was Quash’s thoughts on the weapon itself, how to properly handle such a advance form of weapon fighting technique, and his own opinion on the positives and negatives that it provided. Much like his time with Zerori and Kombu, Callion was just delighted and more than happy to show and even assist if this particular Saiyan wanted support in using as well as learning the weapon for himself as a first-time round.

Yeah, this guy is one of the weirder ones.
Bowing, kinsman?! What the hell kind of saiyan was he? He definitely had to have spent more time on Earth than most, because Quash had never seen anyone act even remotely close to this back on Vegeta. It was a little cringey, but then again, he wasn't necessarily doing anything wrong. He was very respectful, and it was pretty obvious that he knew what he was talking about. Plus, he couldn't lie, this "Three Section Staff" looked pretty cool. Besides, this guy ran into two other saiyans? He was clearly having better luck than Quash was currently having. He'd ask him about it later. For now, he reminded himself to quit judging. Who knows, maybe if he stayed open minded just this once, he might learn something.
As this stranger performed his demonstration, the Captain quickly began to want to learn how to use this thing. It looked incredibly difficult, and this guy was using movements that Quash hadn't seen before. Hell, he didn't even know how somebody could move as well as he did so effortlessly. He hoped that he could remember everything that his temporary teacher was saying, because it was a lot of information that seemed pretty important. Man, I wish I brought something to write on or something. He thought.
Once the demonstration was over, Quash quickly went over the uses, drawbacks, and advantages to himself. So far, as far as he could tell, the Three Section Staff was essentially a regular staff, but also took principles from other weapons to create something new. It was incredibly versatile, good at close range, and, albeit more difficult to control, good at long range. All of that, combined with being one of the three most difficult to master, only made Quash more interested.
Saiyans back on Vegeta usually didn't fight using handheld weapons like this, but it was becoming increasingly more obvious that Quash needed to step his game up. What he was used to doing was no longer enough, and he needed to do something different if he was going to become a formidable fighter. This might be it. Plus, let's be real: Being able to brag about using the top 3 hardest weapons was some cool ass shit.
"Well, it's a good thing I'm not a beginner." Quash replied, smirking as he was getting a little confident in himself. "If you don't mind, I think I'd like to try it out. Mind helping me out?" He asked. He wasn't sure if this was really going to help him or not, after all it was an Earthling style of combat. However, if nothing else, he was interested in seeing how these Earthling Saiyans differed from the ones from Vegeta in terms of fighting capability and prowess.

To be fair, at Quash’s defence, it was understandable to see how Callion was mistakable to be a native Saiyan on the Planet Earth; from the general mannerisms, the way he was dressed, how we were respectful and spoke to his fellow Saiyan which was a complete opposite to how one of the warrior race would normally speak to one in Planet Vegeta. However, despite the Turtle Hermit Gi that he was wearing as evident of being a student to none other than Master Roshi himself, he was in actually raised on the Planet Bhupal; home to some of the most hardened and dedicated monks in the Universe, living in the harshest cold climates with an intense gravity to boot. The living conditions from that world compared to the likes of Earth and Vegeta would make those two seem to be paradise worlds compared to the barren, mountainous realm that was the home to the Monsol Monks. Though such a thing was currently best kept under wraps and was honestly not that much important with the whole technical details, so out of simplicity Callion just rolled with the idea that he was a native of Earth… For now, that is until the two got to know each other better.
However, what did make Callion smile a little more than usual was the comment that Quash was no beginner, outright saying that he had experience in the art of using such weapons before. Now that was something that was bound to make the whole training session a lot easier and the weight of the Saiyan’s shoulders slowly fell off from him. Of course, this didn’t honestly matter if his fellow Saiyan was or was not adept to weapon warfare, he still would’ve proudly assisted him regardless if he had knowledge or not. “I am glad to hear that kinsman. I look forward to how you show me your weapon fighting techniques.” Callion replied sincerely, taking several steps forward more until they were, more or less, face to face at close distance, offering the folded Three-Section Staff to Quash in the process. “Of course. Please, take this Three- Section Staff from my hands and help yourself to training whenever you’re ready. I’ll be here to see how well you fare.” The Saiyan monk replied, standing relatively close by to witness Quash prepare for his training, though before he could assist him with trying out the staff, he wanted to see a few fighting moves with the Three-Section Staff just to see how far past the beginner stage he truly was.
“Just remember to be mindful of both ends since they act as a flail. I recommend maintaining a steady pace if you’re moving the staff around in a constant attacking and defensive position, unless you’re going to use it in a close quarters combat style.” Callion suggested, folding his arms and preparing himself to see what Quash had in store for him to work with in this demonstration. If the Saiyan monk were to recall in the fighting arts of Three-Section Staff combat, the weapon is connected to three sections, the section can be used. And three sections interchangeable, both offensive and defensive, can be long or short, far and near to take into account. The stick method has split, sweep, swing, strike, poke, strangle, frame and various dance flowers, and many more to provide a very rich and diverse forms of combat. Honestly, if Quash was going to start of practicing in either Short, Mid, or Long Range to start off with then Callion would inform the Saiyan of the following ways he’d be able to get off to a good start in practicing the Staff.
For instance: If he wanted to try out the short-range fighting style technique, then Callion proceeded to teach Quash that he’ll need to use the Hold Knuckle Method. This method of holding is a way to hold two knuckles in two hands and use all three knuckles. Hand holding two tip section is like two short sticks like two arms lengthened, when using an attack and a defence with each other; or left paddle right fight, or right frame left poke; using the middle section is to frame, pressure, frame, push and other defence method, up and down left and right hands run at the same time. The three sections are used for each other, fast and agile, with many different methods. Because the grip is safe to use and easy to operate, it is often combined with tumbling and jumping, legwork and much more.
One hand holds the tip section, the other hand holds the middle section, using the free section method. The method is mostly left hand holding the tip section, as a match, the right hand holding the middle section to operate the free tip section. With the right arm force, up and down, left and right, front and back swing, with the body method of twisting, turning, turning, so that the free tip section quickly completes the point, chopping, smashing, sweeping, grabbing, hanging and other methods. Sometimes it is the big arm swinging and swinging, sometimes it is the small arm or wrist turning and flinging. Because the free section is through the middle section of the force, iron ring transmission, so the direction is variable, up and down, left and right conversion flexible, sudden use, consistent and intensive. In practice, we should pay attention to the coordination of the body, arm and wrist, the force through the tip of the free knuckle, and make good use of the rebound and swing of the free knuckle, so that the method is compact and smooth, the conversion is free. This method accounts for a large proportion of the three-knuckle stick, should seize the use of the method with regularity, repeatedly learn the skill.
Of course, this was, at the same time, Callion showing Quash how to perform such basic techniques as he went along with the fellow Saiyan as the two trained, making sure he was going nice and slow just enough for his fellow kin to catch on and learn thoroughly, but not too slow to think that he was a moron, which suffice to say, Callion thought that his fellow Saiyan was not one.

"Yeah, don't worry. I got this." Quash said, trying to assure Callion that he had it covered. He had plenty of weapon experience from using his own Savoy Sword technique, how hard could this actually be? Stabby energy blade vs a stick with a chain on it. Same thing, right? Right. Taking the staff from him, he held it for a moment in his hands to try and feel out the weight of it. It was at this moment that Quash began to feel ever so slightly unsure of himself. This weapon was... almost unruly. He didn't even really know how to hold it. How did Callion do it again?
He grabbed the middle and end portions, leaving the end dangling in front of him. It would be obvious to someone experienced that he was holding it awkwardly and admittedly a little off balance, but hey, fake it until you make it right? Yeah, this feels about right. Now I just got to uh... just kind of whirl it around? He thought to himself, trying to remember the moves he saw in the demonstration. If he recalled correctly, the close-range way was the easiest right? He'd start small. He started moving the middle section in circles, causing the loose end to twirl in kind of a lasso function. Alright, so far so good.
It was time to see if he could do anything fancy. He went to try and awkwardly fling the tip forward, as if he was launching it at an enemy. Instead, the end went into the complete opposite direction, towards his face. "Woah!" Quash shouted, leaning back. Alright, so maybe this was going to be harder than he thought after all. Well, maybe he could do a simple staff twirl right? Quash held both hands at the middle section of the bar. He began to twirl it, but it was pretty obvious he wasn't going very fast.
Trying to challenge himself, he started twirling a little faster to see if he could get some more momentum going. Unfortunately, it didn't work out very well. It tumbled out of his hands and hit the ground. Quash stared at the staff for a moment before looking back at Callion.
"In my defense, I didn't say I was an expert either."

Callion watched with great interest to see if Quash did indeed ‘got this’. He remained quiet as he wanted to witness the fellow Saiyan train and use the Three-Section Staff to his own device, and he surprisingly had a good amount of faith that he was going to be rather successful in the usage of such a weapon. The eyes of Callion remained locked onto Quash, watching the staff itself slowly become unfolded and noticed him holding the very weapon at the middle and end with both hands; a good start, now it come down to how exactly the fellow Saiyan wanted to start out with efficiency it seemed, an admirable beginning to use the staff he had to admit, and slowly began to realise that perhaps this may have not been the most ideal way for Quash to start out training. Callion’s nearly closed his eyes when he saw the tip of the Three- Section Staff flung in the complete opposite direction having nearly came and went to hit Quash himself on the face, but was rather fortunate to have seen that his fellow Saiyan missed from having hurt himself from the end result. Fortunate such an accident didn’t happen, though it could’ve been a sure-fire way to tell him that he was doing so in the wrong manner.
“Hmm… I see. No problem, this can always be rectified. We can start out small with the basics.” Callion said, maintaining his full confidence with Quash, walking closer towards him and pointed with his left hand towards the middle section of the staff. “Alright, let’s start out from the beginning in order for you to get a feel of the weapon. I want you to grab a hold of the middle section and just swing and spin it in as many ways as possible for… Hmm… Let’s say an hour. I want you to give it your all and be aggressive.” The Saiyan Monk spoke, giving out the first start of the training programme he set out for Quash to do and that was a mere spinning the Three-Section Staff in a circular motion for a whole hour’s worth. Naturally, he was free to spin the staff above his head, infront of him, or for the sides, but the initial goal to the first stage of this was so Quash could start out with the feel of the weapon, what it was truly like to use such an advance weapon for himself, rather than starting out with serious techniques right off the gate.
Callion remained quiet, his eyes focusing more on the Saiyan before him with an eager interest in seeing Quash complete the task, standing by and ready to either move him on to the next stage of his training or having to correct him once more. Either way this unusual Saiyan was going to be there for him every step of the way.

Quash was surprised that Callion didn't even call him out when it was clear he didn't know what he was doing in the slightest. Maybe this guy wasn't all that bad after all. It looked like he meant business too, because he immediately pointed out where to start and sent him off on his way. An hour was a lot, but it's not like that had managed to stop Quash before. It was time to get to work. He picked up the weapon and nodded at what was now his teacher. He knew how this went. You have to master the basics before you get into the complex stuff.
Quash stepped back from Callion, going to try the last thing he did again. That would be simply twirling the staff in front of him, He took a deep breath and started out slow. The staff began to move successfully, albeit very slowly. He kept going for a minute or two until he felt like he could keep a steady pace. Once he had the rhythm down, he'd begin to take it up a notch. He started getting a better hang of it this time, but it eventually fell out of his hands again. Come on, you can do this. He thought, picking the staff up again. He began to twirl it once more, this time going a little faster. He managed to be able to maintain this faster pace, though every now and then it wobbled, threatening to fall once more.
He maintained the faster pace for longer than the slower one he had going before. He needed to get used to this now, and it was going to take a little bit. This was how he had decided to go about this, to keep trying and keep going a little faster and faster. After around almost a half hour, he was beginning to spin it a lot more naturally. He proved to be a quick learner due to the natural instincts and senses someone born into a race of warriors might expect to have. However, Quash wasn't quite done challenging himself just yet. After all, they were just getting started!
For the next half hour, Quash began to twirl the staff up above him and even in motion. There was a lot of trial and error, but there was noticeable improvement with each and every additional attempt. He started to get used to the shifting weight of three section staff due to the ends constantly flailing around. He was beginning to learn how to adjust his grip with the shifting of the weight, being able to make the adjustment easier and easier. He could feel his heartbeat pick up as he got more excited. This was... actually really fun!
By the end of the hour, Quash was able to have a much better grasp over the Three Section Staff. It wasn't expert level yet, but he was at least able to use it enough so that he could probably fool someone who didn't know anything about weapons that he was at least average. Even so, however, it still felt like it was trying to fight with him. From what he saw from Callion earlier, he got the idea that a user of this weapon was supposed to move naturally with it, almost as if it was an extension of themselves. He didn't really know how to get there yet, but that's why Callion was here, right?
"So uh, how am I doing so far?" Quash asked, stopping for a moment and letting the middle of the staff rest in the palms of his hands.

The Saiyan watched with great interest in the first steps of Quash’s basic training with the simple movement of rotating and spinning the Three-Section Staff around him. He recognised that there was nothing to make remarks of the fellow Saiyan if he was truly adamant of wanting to learn how to use the weapon to its fullest devices, so he continued to devote his time and effort to make sure that he had the general grasp of the weapon by himself, and the rest will be for him to learn and figure out how to use it. After all, the best way for a Saiyan to fully learn is to make sure that one is given the necessary basic’s down and the rest is history as it is shown time and again with the heroes of Earth; the legends of Goku and his friends in their training and usage of weapons such as the famous power pole weapon. This was no exception to such learning, and like all the rest before him, it was indeed the fabled tradition of ‘crawling before walking’ and he was going to be there every step of the way until Quash was 100% capable of using the weapon to it’s full potential.
Callion gave a nod of his head of approval when Quash was successful in being able to spin and rotate the Three-Section Staff, having every confidence in his fellow kin with performing the task at hand, his quietness was simple; it allowed him to focus on his training however simple to formulate the building blocks that will become stronger and progress further down the road of his weapon training. The reason of this was simple; once Quash had the feel of the weapon, he’d be able to proceed onwards to engaging in combat in the basic sense which was another initial founding block of the exercise and the path to get him stronger and even confidence in himself, which judging from the expression and in the way the Saiyan had a look about himself, he couldn’t help but sense it was what he desperately needed, and what better way to raise the confidence of a fellow warrior than to actually provide that support. What was another way to actually surprise Callion was how quickly Quash was learning in being able to fully handle the weapon before his eyes, even as the whole hour passed, this particular Saiyan that Callion was teaching took to the weapon rather well.
Alas, such a thing was rather obvious to the uninitiated was it not? After all, the Saiyans are a proud and mighty warrior race of Planet Vegeta and knew exactly how to adapt and learn the weapons of war and self-defence as if it was second nature that was equivalent to breathing, and this was no exception to the task at hand. Deciding to use the opportunity to offer positive reinforcement the Saiyan monk offer a reaffirming nod of approval; “You are already at this within an hour and you have shown remarkable progress at a short span of time. I am proud of you. Though the question what you should be asking is this; How do you feel about yourself? What about the weapon you are holding right infront of you within the whole hour of spinning and rotating the Staff? Do you have a feel of the weapon? What is your opinion of it thus far?” Callion asked several questions whilst at the same time giving Quash the well-deserved reinforcement, now the time had arrived to hear exactly what Quash’s thoughts were throughout the hour training ordeal with the weapon.
As Callion asked him, he turned around and walked over to the nearest Tree he could see and selected a pair of strong and sturdy branches from the ground floor and slowly dressed them into a pair of baton like stick weapons, whilst he heard the response.

Quash would be lying if he said Callion's praise didn't give him an ego boost. The staff was something he didn't even know how to handle not too long ago, and now he was already starting to get a better grasp of how to use it. He was eager to learn how to use more complex motions, wanting to make some REAL progress. If he could learn to move as Callion did, his skill would easily be pushed to greater heights. Plus, he could finally prove to Athren that he was actually worth his time.
When Callion asked him how he felt about the weapon and his confidence in wielding it, Quash paused to think for a moment before giving an answer. "It's kind of hard to say, but I do like it. When I was practicing the movements I could definitely see the potential in the staff. It feels like I haven't really gotten used to it yet, though. It feels so... unruly? Like it's fighting me." He replied, trying to see if he could restate his opinion again but in a way that might make more sense. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that it feels okay, but it could be a lot better. I know it can. I just need more practice. I guess I should expect that from what one of that hardest weapons to master, though." Make no mistake, despite all of that, he was still more than willing to keep going. If anything, this only made him more motivated.
As Quash saw Callion break off some tree sticks and started fashioning into... are those batons? Were going to spar or something? Part of him hoped they did. After all, there was nothing like some "in-field" testing.
"Hey uh, what are those for?"

“This next section is another step to the form of basic training; we are going to be going over basic combat routines.” Callion answered, holding the two batons with both hands, rotating the weapons in a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree motion before holding them properly. “Hmm, not bad. The resources in this general area are surprisingly rather good at being able to forge weapons. At any rate, this exercise is, once again, fairly simple. I’ll perform a series of attacks whilst you defend each one for one hour. Once that is done, we’ll switch so you can attack and I defend for another hour.” The Saiyan monk answered the question whilst also giving a thorough explanation to the next step of Quash’s training, the idea behind this course was not just getting a feel of the weapon as he done so previously, but now how to apply physical attacks as well as defence in all three stages that the Three-Section Staff can provide in short, mid, and long range. In order to truly be able to master the weapon of combat of such an advanced form, one must be able to practice each stage in attack and defence and considering there were three range forms of combat, the combined total for each step was going to be well in the hours of training to learn and focus.
Callion slowly sunk into a more comfortable fighting stance with both batons on either hand; “Once you have a fully grasped short, mid, and long range attack and defence, then your final training will be a spar with me, just to see how well you are able to handle the weapon on your own. When the spar is over… That will be it. It will be from that point on up to you, and you alone, to decide how to push your own training further with the Three Section Staff. Though considering how you have managed to progress thus far, I have every confidence in you.” With that being said, the Saiyan monk began to practice in a sequence of attacks whenever Quash was ready. Recognising that this was going to be a long session – precisely six hours’ worth of training to get his fellow Saiyan to understand the art of the weapon to it’s fullest extent, Callion would keep track of the sun dialect now and again, ensuring that the two had moments of rest until they went back to rhythm once more.

Quash nodded, understanding Callion's assignment. "Right. Ready when you are." He replied, getting into a stance, ready to defend against Callion's attacks!
The first hour was pretty brutal to say the least. Callion was clearly the much more experienced opponent, and it showed in his movements. They weren't even fighting seriously, and yet all of his attacks were sharp, precise, and with little wasted movement. They currently practicing close-quarters combat, and Quash was finding it difficult to react. There was too much thought behind every action and it was slowing him down. Eventually, Quash found it easier to use the Three-Section-Staff like batons when talking about close quarters, holding each end ash became use them to parry and block various strikes. The longer it went on, the more fluid he became.
Now came the mid-range attacks. This one was tricky because Quash had to be able to utilize the momentum of the ends of the Three-Section-Staff. He'd be lying if he said he didn't hit his head a few times. Using the chains in between the sections as a whip, he was able to utilize them as nunchucks to a certain extent. After a whole lot of trial and error, he was able to negate the force of Callion's attacks with his own. He could feel himself improving, and he was starting to get hooked on this high.
The final portion of the defense of the training had begun. Long-range. This was easily the hardest part. Quash had to basically resort to using the entire length of the staff. The first few attacks thrown at him ended up landing. Either he was too slow to react or he had completely missed his intended target. It was frustrating, but he wasn't the type to give up. With every attempt, he began to get more and more of a feel for the weapon. He had to allow himself to move with the staff and almost let the weapon guide him to the next action.
After a solid three hours, the defense portion of the training was finally complete. Now it was time to move onto the offensive. He was able to get the close quarters area down without much issue, using the nunchuck/baton like attacks to unleash rapid fire attacks. He had no doubt that Callion would be able to avoid them, but it was more for practice than anything else. It was becoming more and more obvious that fighting at this distance was playing into Quash's strength. He was able to use the Staff a lot easier here since have to use movements that were too complex.
Hour five. Offensive mid-range. While close-quarters combat was the easiest, mid-range was his favorite. Quash was starting like using the length of his weapon to his advantage. He began to put more motion into each strike, spinning as he attacked, realizing that using the Three-Section-Staff was kind of like a transactional process. You get out about as much as you put into it. He started taking advantage of the longer end by using one end to keep the weapon in place while using the middle section for control. Like earlier, but better.
This was it, the final hour. Long range fighting. In the beginning, Quash was trying to use the weapon like a metal whip. It was obvious, but he wasn't quite certain that that was all he was supposed to do. It was too simple and easy to read. He wondered if he should just maintain the same principle as before. What if he put even more motion into it? Quash initially tried this by only holding one end and making more exaggerated spins, but began even resorting to more acrobatic motions like flips and twists, allowing the staff to shoot farther while carrying for power. He ended up tripping more than a few times, hitting himself in the face, and even just falling flat on his face. Long-range was for sure a weaker area for him, but as time went on he got less and less careless.
It was a lot of work, but by the end of it was clear that he was much farther than where he was before. It wasn't absolutely perfect, but anyone watching would find it hard to believe that he had no idea what this weapon even was a few hours ago.

The training in Callion’s vision was going as smooth sailing as possible in his preferable sight. The hours were long and training going along at a remarkable pace as the hours rolled in from the Afternoon well into the evening as the Sun was about to set: Back and Forth, Attack and Defence, Long-Mid-Short range methods were all tested between the two warriors with the sole intention in getting Quash to properly train on how to use such a weapon, and throughout such a time the evidence of the hours spent alone was beginning to bear fruit and Callion was no doubt happy to have seen such progress from his fellow kin with a smile on his face. The Saiyan even managed to work up quite a good amount of sweat from the endeavour alone from the fight, that he actually had to put a little more effort in the training just to be certain that Quash wasn’t getting too relaxed the basic form. Even if it was for the sole purpose on seeing him get completely adjusted to the staff, he wasn’t going to hold his hand entirely, for this was something that the captain had to learn on his own from this point forward.
After all, that is the basics of personal improvement.
Callion soon enough ceased with the basic training and placed the wood crafted batons to one side before smiling at the fellow Saiyan, “Well, I must really commend you for your training. You have managed to grow and improve beyond anything I have seen thus far, and now even I can safely say that you have gained quite the strong control and understanding of the Three-Section Staff.” Callion replied pointing at him which soon turned into a thumbs up. “Why don’t you keep that weapon as a gift from me to you. Take it with you to learn and improve further as you go about your journey into the world. Use it well with care and respect, and the weapon will, in return, show the same form back.” The Saiyan responded, offering that very weapon that Quash wielded in his hands as a gift from his hard work, from one warrior to another – one that he can keep and improve, perhaps even surpassing the Monk’s capabilities and become a truly capable fighter in his own right. A fighter that the likes of a ‘Master’ such as Callion will be proud of.
He looked up to the sky to see the once bright blue had now turned a mixture of orange and black, indicating just how much time had passed for the two of them, causing Callion to smile with a chuckle that passed his lips. “Hmm… Looks like we’ve really been training for quite some time. Amazing at how the world goes by when you’re busy.” The Saiyan remarked, taking in a breath of fresh air before walking towards Quash and placed his hand on his shoulder. “You’ve done well, I’m rather impressed you stuck through with the training even though we have just met. I must say, I will be looking forward to you getting stronger with great interest. I’m rather proud of you in a way.” He continued with a nod before slowly turning around and made his way onward, leaving Quash. “Perhaps we may meet again, I look forward to your progress and to see how far you have become… Though I will say, I may not know what brought you here originally, and at this point, it matters little… It’s been nice to have talked, trained and been with another Saiyan…”
He stopped just before he took off into the sky, levitating in mid-air before facing him.
“My Name is Callion…. What is yours?”
Callion waited to hear the response from the other Saiyan, and should he respond with giving his name, the Saiyan monk would reply thusly; “Well then Quash, it’s been a pleasure to know you. Take care of yourself and make sure you get stronger. I look forward to the fruits of your labour.” With that, he took to the skies and left, allowing his fellow Saiyan to complete his thoughts on the precious hours having spent together, and now having trained and granted Quash the knowledge on how to properly wield the Three-Section Staff. However, had Quash not revealed his name to Callion, the Saiyan Monk would’ve respected his decision to not reveal himself to him and by that point took to the skies regardless.
Perhaps one thing was clear…
They may, one day, meet again.

Quash was breathing heavily after their sparring match concluded. His head was covered in sweat and his arms and legs hurt. A lot. Though despite how uncomfortable he was feeling, he liked the feeling. It was a good sign that he actually got something out of all of this training. Not only that, but he was able to use one of the hardest weapons ever created (On Earth, anyway)! Callion had sure given him the business. That was definitely the last time the Captain would underestimate Earthling Martial Arts. He definitely needed a nap after this one, which was convenient given how late it was getting.
Quash smiled as Callion complimented him, feeling good about his success. However, he was even more surprised that he allowed him to keep it! What a steal this was! He could already see the possibilities now. This was the start of the next step in Quash's journey to become the strongest. He was grateful that Callion have given him the opportunity to hone his skills and he didn't really know how to repay him for the gift. He wished he had something could've given him.
"Wow, thanks! I owe you one. Seriously. I'll take good care of it."
It was time for the goodbyes. "Oh, don't you worry. The next time we meet I'll be much stronger, I guarantee it. Let's fight again sometime." He replied. As Callion went to leave, he stopped and introduced himself. Quash was completely blown away by the fact that they hadn't introduced themselves yet! They had spent so much time together today that it had completely slipped his mind! "My name's Quash. It was good training with you, Callion."
And with that, he left. Quash took off in the other direction, headed for...anywhere that had any kind of soft ground. He really needed some shut-eye. As he kept flying, his eyes widened as he came to the realization that he had completely forgotten to recruit him! Dammit! The one time Quash met a saiyan who was actually cool and he blew it. Oh well, he was long gone now. He'd make a mental note to recruit him the next time he saw him. Until then, the journey continues!
